Page 9. Vintage Clubs & Forums

If you own or ride a vintage motorcycle, it’s vital to support the clubs. They’re run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, usually on a voluntary basis. Without our subscriptions they can not exist.

Many authoritive and informative articles written by club members over the years have been uploaded to the internet. This is invaluable when researching vintage machines; I’ve continued this tradition of sharing information by spending many spare moments scanning and uploading adverts and articles onto my various websites. These appear in search engines when you type in the particular vehicle name.

I urge other vintage enthusiasts who’ve made the leap to 21st Century technology to follow this fine tradition and master that killer combination of scanner, digital camera, computer, website and spare moment.

The BTSC was founded in 1929. It’s a good club for enthusiast support, has an excellent magazine and organizes local runs.

VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE CLUB
The VMCC is the largest club in the UK for vintage machines and is good place to source parts if needed. It also has a good archive library, which may be accessed by visiting the Club headquarters in Staffordshire.

NATIONAL AUTOCYCLE & CYCLEMOTOR CLUB
The NACC issues a superb magazine called ‘Buzzing’ to its members. I thoroughly recommend membership.
